I'm pretty sure it's a direct implementation of STRAGG() but is built in already.

Any idea if LISTAGG() can handle CLOBs? WM_CONCAT() and STRAGG() will fall apart if the result exceeds 4000 bytes.

-MilesUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14930914582809285422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-518481768015386858.post-85572030707264083172009-12-12T19:42:15.183-05:002009-12-12T19:42:15.183-05:00Any idea how to de-listagg?Any idea how to de-listagg?Joelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01611657695193159534noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-518481768015386858.post-78087802553959814892009-10-30T14:45:17.201-04:002009-10-30T14:45:17.201-04:00Xingsheng,

Instead of using user-defined objects with member functions called via an outer function wrapper, it's now a "built-in".Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03309823327597536648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-518481768015386858.post-296740047738502432009-10-30T01:23:35.625-04:002009-10-30T01:23:35.625-04:00Hi Karen,

I am just wondering if there is any performance benefit to move to this great new built-in function LISTAGG?

Thanks,
Xingsheng流浪他乡https://www.blogger.com/profile/01935653917913111808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-518481768015386858.post-48000555131245708682009-09-08T13:10:47.363-04:002009-09-08T13:10:47.363-04:00The analytic function enhancements are the stuff t...The analytic function enhancements are the stuff that I'm most intrigued by. But, I'm also anxious to play around with the recursive WITH capabilities. I'm just trying to figure out how I'd apply it. I've got a crazy example that computes Fibonacci numbers, but that's not overly practical. :) Recursive code typically hasn't been very performant so I'm wondering if this new WITH capability does a better job.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03309823327597536648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-518481768015386858.post-73729425252571000052009-09-08T09:56:31.590-04:002009-09-08T09:56:31.590-04:00Hi Karen,

I have been meaning to read through the doc's on the new analytic functions but haven't had the time yet. Have you seen anything else in there that has peeked your interest?

Good to see you're posting again (and getting settled in).

KerryKerry Osbornehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18129210709237272590noreply@blogger.com
